In windy weather, it is easy to catch an infection
“Sty” on the eye. When it is stuffy and windy outside, many people are bothered by such a nuisance as a stye on the eye. “Where did it come from, it’s never happened before,” we wonder. While in fact, every person has suffered from painful swelling on the eye at least once in their life.

This can happen if a person rubs his eye with unwashed hands, thereby introducing an infection. Or windy weather can pose a threat. Against the background of this kind of hypothermia, an infection easily develops.
Pathogenic flora gets into the mouth of the sebaceous gland, mixes with sebum, and the gland becomes clogged. Because of this, its functioning is disrupted, it increases in volume. At the same time, not only swelling and redness appear, but also painful sensations. Because the vessels and nerve endings are compressed, the trophism of the sebaceous gland is disturbed. This is how barley appears on the eye.

– How long does it “live”?
7 – 10 days. As soon as barley appears, I advise you to make special lotions. To do this, prepare a decoction of chamomile or strong tea. But do not use sachets, because they may contain a lot of very small particles, dust. It is better to prepare an infusion from the tea leaves and, using gauze folded in four, apply home-made life-saving medicines to the affected area. In this case, the decoction should be at room temperature, lotions should be done for 10 minutes three times a day.
Thanks to such procedures, pain disappears, inflammatory swelling decreases. In addition, the body itself begins to activate immunological mechanisms to fight the infection. If the process is accompanied by severe pain and does not go away for a long time, special drops and antibacterial rinsing will help. But this should be done only after consulting a doctor.
